Where were the tech advisors on this film?
Lots of glaring errors, weapon safety not being followed, nto once did I see a reload scene...
Referring to magazines as clips?
And if DiNardo was a sniper, how come his M14 only had iron sights?

And a Sgt Maj always goes out on a squad patrol.
shareThey were not out on a regular patrol in the beginning of the movie, they were a long range recon patrol unit.
shareA Sergeant Major (E-9) is the senior enlisted member of a Battalion. In Garrison, his office is usually adjacent to the Colonel, The Battalion Commander. Depending on what type of unit, that Battalion may have anywhere from 200 up to 600 or 700 troops. A Sergeant Major would never go out on a Recon Patrol with a squad. If the Sergeant Major is there, you can bet your next paycheck that the Colonel is there also.
shareI had to laugh at the weapon handling skills of the US troops .. just a joke .. real marines etc. would not fire their weapons from the hip or held out in front of their body at a sideways angle nor would they stand up and have zero cover while firing from an entrenched position.
