I Abso *Bleeping* Lutely LOVE This Film!!!

1. The title is NOT "false advertising". - It's what her father was pretty much thinking ever since he came home from the radio convention, to the scene where she's walking down the stairs dressed all in white to the song "Venus", to the beach scene, to coming home via a tree through her bedroom window at four O'clock in the morning, etc... Think about it, the film actually stars HIM, NOT HER. In the film's opening credits, HE'S FIRST, while SHE'S FIFTH. So, you can debate all you want over the veracity of the film's title being "false advertising", when in fact, it was her father's thoughts the entire time. I mean, his girlfriend told him to seek help over it, for crying out loud! The shrink, and the book he gave him even played key roles in the film! LOL Anyhow, there's my defense of the film's title that has people so up in arms over. LOL

2. This was my first "girl empowerment" film (I was ten and a half years old when it came out). Now that I think about it, when I was in high school (from 1993 - 1997), I went through the "preppy" phase, the "leather" phase, and every other "phase" in between the two myself. Even more coincidentally, I went through a "transformation" of sorts shortly after I turned fifteen as well. So, I totally get the whole "kind of a kick, having this power" thing where boys are concerned, too. After "Friends", every time I watch it, I think, "What the **** are you DOING, Chandler?" LOL Ami Dolenz's parentage even plays a role in my love for this film, strangely enough, I watched Micky Dolenz in "The Monkees", AND "Boy Meets World". This film "ticks so many boxes" for me, it's utterly ridiculous. Seriously, those aren't even all of them, believe it or not. LOL If you did the math, you would've figured out I'm thirty-six years old now. And, even though I'm not a "girlie" girl, this is STILL one of my top ten favorite films, EVER. Obviously, I honestly don't give a **** WHAT people say, *I* gave this film TEN STARS. LOL

Just sayin'... ;-)

I never even thought of the movie title that way. This is one of my fave movies. Love Ami Dolenz in this movie, the clothes, the music, the look. It's just a great fun movie.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
So is a good body.
