What proof do they have over the killer?

I have just watched See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989) for the first time and I immediately fell in love with Joan Severance (Eve). Eve is just extremely hot and has long beautiful legs.

Now, the big question is, now that the police have captured Eve, what kind of real evidence do they have to proof that she was the killer? Do they just say “Officer, this is the magnificent legs and the great woman scent that I was telling you about”.
