Any qoute from the Gas n'Sip guys!!! My son's first grade teacher's name was Mrs. Lloyd. Every time he would say her name me and my husband would say "Lloyd lloyd all null and void." My son would son would just look at us funny.

as soon as I saw the title of the thread I wanted to write "Bitches, man!"

I saw only that one minutes scene years before I sat down and watched the whole film, but I quoted that line during the years in between

I love the one where he's driving around, making a tape for Corey and he says "Bell Square -- the site of our controversial first date."
Is it just me, or is the controversy whether or not it was an actual date? Cracks me up every time.

That line cracks me up too, since it wasn't a date at all. He saw Diane sitting alone, and he sat at a table near her, facing her, so it's like they "sat together," but didn't.

Too funny!

This movie has to be the gold standard for hilarious quotes, most have already been listed but here are a couple more of my favorites:

Lloyd: The rain on my car is a baptism, the new me, Ice Man, Power Lloyd, my assault on the world begins now.

Lloyd: Joe, Joe. She's written 65 songs... 65. They're all about you. They're all about pain.
Joe: So what's up?

Lloyd: You used to be fun. You used to be warped and twisted and hilarious... and I mean that in the best way - I mean it as a compliment!
Lloyd's sister: I was hilarious once, wasn't I?

I really love when Lloyd finally calls Diane and talks to Mr. Court and right at the end Lloyd says "She's really pretty great isn't she." Then Mr. Court says, "Good luck, kid." That's so awesome.

I love the part where, after Lloyd walks Diane home after the party, he stands out in the street bowing and blowing kisses.

Corey-"Have you ever gotten a letter like this?"
D.C.-"I dream about it."

Corey-"Get ready for greatness, Lloyd."

Partygoer-"Lloyd Dobler. All right!"

No, signal23, it is not wrong. I have an 8-year-old daughter, and if she were to someday marry someone like Lloyd Dobler, I would be thrilled!

if i were a father, and a guy said this to me about my daughter....well, i might marry him myself. my daughter would likely live in poverty, but she'd be happy. it's just about as romantic as you can get i think.
