Poor Documentary

I loved this when it first came out, and certainly it does capture the misery of the town of Flint, but it should be pointed out (with apologies to Roger Ebert) that there are pretty significant problems with his approach to film making that you should care about.

For one thing he made up the whole thing about an unemployed auto worker stealing a truck, and *beep* over a lot of union-supporters and the people who lived there which makes it seem like he really didn't give a *beep* in the first place: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5ElFQhY-LQ

Oh, and apparently he did get an interview with GM's CEO. In fact he talked with him twice, once on film. The doc's entire purpose (to obtain an interview) is misleading.

Nah, I'm self-employed. I'm always awake at four in the morning watching TCM.
