Does anyone know who dubbed for the voice of Roy Kinnear?

I think it might have been Richard Briers? But can anyone let me know if I am right or not.

He was dubbed? When you say dubbed, do you mean the odd looped in line?(Yeah, I do realise he got killed during filming).

"ANIMALS RULE! TIMOTHY CONQUERED! *beep* YOU, PARK SERVICE!!!"

reply

There was some minor dubbing of lines for the post production, but I don't believe it was ever revealed who did it;
Richard Briers dubbed Jean Pierre Cassel in the first two pictures

There were at least two scenes where the Planchet character could not be ommitted, and where Kinnear was apparently replaced by a double, as the character is only shot from behind.

reply

yes this is true, an actor did double for roy kinnear in the film. the main actors in the film were so distraught by the loss of poor roy that they were glad to finish the film. the double appears in other tv and film shows under his own name now.

reply

he was dubbed by benard cribbins

This would be the second time Lester would have to substitute a stand in and voice double for an unavailable actor. He did the same for Gene Hackman when he took over as director on Superman II.
