was broken by Ray Kinnear's death. Lester was no longer interested in it when his good friend was killed, hence it is not looked on kindly by many.

It must have been very depressing continuing the movie after Roy Kinnear was killed. Perhaps they felt that they had to finish it so that they could dedicate the film to him.
