Show Buck's past, and perhaps show how Buck was messed up, and how he became what he became in "Relentless", maybe him and his cop father abusing him, just a little insight of why Buck chose to off victims with his own last names from
telephone books..

I think a prequel would be the most boring 85 minutes of celluoid committed to film. What would we show, 70 minutes of his dad beating him, then have 15 minutes of him saying "One day I'll kill people with my last name"?
There was a reason they showed flashbacks....
