Is there a chance, that some day a unrated version of this movie comes out? Or is this already available in some parts of the world? I know of a french dvd with the unrated cut, but this oop dvd contains only a french audio track.
This is one of the very few Dolph Lundgren movie I don't own on dvd, because I coudn't find a decent version of it.
Only the Japanese edition is a decent uncut version although still pan & scan (fullscreen)

Regarding Red Scorpion, he revealed that a longer cut has been recently found in a vault. "We're going to search the vaults high and low for the most complete version and the original negative material. It may take a lot of research to find the additional footage on film, but we're up to the challenge. Savini may have some behind-the-scenes video, and if so, it'll be fun to showcase some of that stuff. We'll have extras, but it's early yet, so we have to wait and see what we can come up with."
Whats the differences from the unrated/uncut and the one avalible on dvd?

shareThe recent UK Blu-Ray release by Arrow is uncut - I do not know if it is Region free
Apparently there is an upcoming US release of the Blu-Ray by Synapse which will also be uncut and have 5.1 DTS sound (and will *allegedly* be region free but given previous Synapse releases I would check this)... whether it will also have the original stereo track (for purists) that the Arrow one has or *just* the upmix I have no info at this time.
