What an underrated movie!!!

seriously, i really enjoy cheesy 80´s action flicks (rambo2,3; commando; etc) and i know they´re terrible from a cinematic poit of view. but they´re entertaining as hell and have so much more charakter than today´s action movies (transformers; g.i.joe).

i saw the film today for the first time, and i thought it was extremely funny. sure, it´s silly, over the top, horrible acting and totally cliched, but what would an 80´s action film be without?

i really don´t get why this film has such a bad reputation. totally undeserved. i will cherish this movie from this day forth ^^

O_o -.-´ ^^ :P XD oTo :o)
some boring bull *beep*

I think people are too liberal how they use the word Cheesy. I certainly don't class Red Scorpion as a cheesy movie in the least. It's Dolph's best movie without a doubt, and most things in it are adequately done at the very least.

How this or Rambo films can be cheesy when they make the audience cry. This is a deep film on many levels, with many spiritual overtones. Probably the most solid and finest film Dolph was ever involved in.

I really enjoy this film. It's loud, cheesey and OTT but I love it!!!!

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

it's a deep study on human nature, the risk we are going to take, loyalty and true friendship.

I thought it was a cracking movie, popcorn, crisps and beer material

I wish people wouldn't suggest that every action movie from the 80's is cheesy and over the top. There are a few really outstanding ones too with good stories and acting, like "Die Hard."
