how come she doesn't have a brit accent?

how come she doesn't sound british?

reply

In the book Rachel was English, but in the film they changed her character into an American. No idea why though, as Ione Skye wss born in England, so either she's spent a lot of time in the States and lost her accent or else she does a good fake US accent

I see. but up to now I've seen something like 3 movies with her and in none she sounded british.

maybe she was supposed to play an american girl in everyone the movies I've seen, otherwise... Can you really lose the accent of the place you've born in? I don't think so...

You can lose an accent. For example, my Papa lost his Scottish accent in Australia. Her parents split when she was little and she grew up in LA
