Ok this makes no sense, help please?

I just bought the Rabid Grannies DVD from the Troma booth at Fan Expo in Toronto, they didn't know if it was the uncut version or not, turns out its the cut version but the stupid thing one of the special features on the DVD is a gore reel which shows all the uncut scenes, why did they not just put the uncut version of the movie if there going to include the scenes anyway! I figured it was the uncut version too because a friend bought the DVD last year at fan expo and his is a different cover and its the cut version and for the record I have the VHS as well and its also cut GRRRRRR!!!
