i haven't seen this movie in years and i've just revisited it to find that there's no nudity and all the swearing has been cut/dubbed. yes, the dubbing is hilarious and actually caused me to rate it a star higher than it should have (some of the dubbing almost sounds as if two guys were trying to say something at the same time creating a rewind laugh a thon that i recommend to all). to say the least i was a little disappointed. i prefer all of my 80's horror shows with all swearing, blood spurts, and inventive killing methods intact. and with a hearty side of T&A. God bless sleepaway camp 2.

Yeah, Artisan really screwed up the DVD release. Now I'm going to have to get a VHS copy to see the movie unedited. It's really a pity,because I haven't seen Part 3 before and would have liked to have the better picture of a DVD. Oh, Well.

I have not seen this movie in like forever! The last time I saw this movie was on USA UP ALL NIGHT on the USA Network back in the day. I miss those weekends you know.

I rented this at a mom and pop video store and loved Courtney Taylor! She was gorgeous!

who knows about the censoring. Buy the 4 pack alliance dvd pack it is uncut with all the nudity and swears!!

My 'Showtime' TV- channel just aired Prom Night I-2-3 and 4. I'm watching Prom Night III right now, and Tim Conlon, in the role of Alex Gray, did indeed show his bare bottom on full view ...

Why were things censored there anyway?

The censorship didn't bother me all that much, actually. It wasn't quite as much of a distraction as people have said. Nothing that would take me out of the film at least.

Cheesy is not the word, but I did enjoy PN 3. Courtney Taylor was hotter than Lisa Scharge I think in PN 2. Plus I loved all the sexy striptease routines Courtney did with all of those outfits. That Alex guy was one lucky dude. Heck I understand his hang ups with all the killing but besides that, I'd be good to go & would've kept my mouth shut if I had a thing going on like that.

Otherwise the movie wasn't THAT bad, but many things concerning the plot just didn't make sense. But hey it is what it is.

I have the double feature DVD that contains this movie and part 4. It's been years since I first rented this on VHS so my memory of the uncensored version may not be all that great. But wasn't there just a scene of male nudity that got cut out on the DVD? Cause if that's the case, I really don't care that they censored it.

I have that dvd combo too. There was some additional nudity from Mary Lou and Alex cut out. Plus some gorey shots and swearing. Happy to have all the "Prom night" movies but it seems silly that this DVD isn't uncut.
