This one is just behind Elf for me. But that one is more comedy. This one is just done right great!

I just saw this movie for the first time, and I loved it! The close-ups of Prancer and his big brown eyes are just lovely. Prancer, you have restored my faith in Santa! The human cast is great, too.

I saw this film in 1989 in the theater when it first came out. I remember weeping like a little kid. I found this movie @ my local grocery store, and the price was right, so I picked it up, and I just finished watching it.
IT’S GREAT! It’s NOT depressing! Some bloggers here on this message board are blasting this film as depressing. While there ARE sad parts (and name me one Disney film that DOESN’T have sad parts…)
The film has a happy ending! But that didn’t stop me from crying through three-quarters of the movie!

LONG LIVE PRANCER!

Trust me,

My, you're nosey, aren't you?

I really like this movie too... :)

It reminds me of Pollyanna http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054195/... the positive attitude... helping the grumpy neighbor in the big house (christmas lights in Prancer and prism rainbows in Pollyanna) ...a stern parental figure ...(the dad in prancer and an aunt in pollyanna)...but by the end softens up...and then falling out of a tree. The actress in prancer even looks like the actress in the british pollyanna http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314519/
