'Blonde in a pink cadillac' - question.

Doesn't Clint Eastwood's character claim to be looking for a "blonde in a pink cadillac" throughout the beginning of the movie? I haven't seen it for awhile, so I can't fully remember if the slight error (ha) was ever mentioned. Bernadette Peters isn't blonde in this particular movie, she's a redhead. For some reason that always got to me. It's sort of like they were supposed to hire a blonde actress, but got Bernadette Peters and didn't feel like changing the line, LOL.

Nonetheless - I love this movie.

Are you sure it wasn't a "Bleached blond in a pink Cadillac on Planet Schwartz?"

You're just being silly.

Watching the movie now, and he does ask if the gas station attendant if he has seen a blonde in a pink Cadillac and the attendant replies, "only in my dreams".

30 minutes into the movie.

Well, her hair IS blonde in the movie, dyed, bleached, or otherwise. So the line makes perfect sense.

,,, and that filling station attendant was played by singer Bryan Adams.

I'm not an expert on hair color/shades, but Bernadette's hair is definitely NOT blonde in this movie, at least not in any typical sense of the word. I'm thinking more like light brown/reddish. Judge for yourself: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098097/mediaviewer/rm626110464
