definetly agreed.

with dirty harry saga, and the rookie, this is one of the best action movies with clint eastwood.

Yes, I totally agree. I recently watched it for the first time, expecting it to be horrendous from all the negative reviews I had read. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was funny and definitely entertaining. Eastwood and Peters are great together. Love it! It's too bad more people don't agree.

It's average stuff.

It is irritating to see it reflexively dismissed as a terrible movie by people, some of whom I strongly suspect, haven't even seen it but are simply parroting an opinion they've read or heard elsewhere. To me Pink Cadillac is a lazy but likable film. Eastwood's performance in a variety of disguises is fun to watch as well as being another example of the star successfully stretching himself (Clint's redneck retard hillbilly for instance is worryingly convincing!) & there are some hilarious scenes such as the 'Mr. Dickhead' exchange between Clint & Donald Moffat. Granted, this isn't going to go down as one of the great Eastwood movies but by god this is not his weakest film & in fact nowhere near as bad as its IMDB reputation suggests. It seems to me the worst you can say about it is that it's a routine effort - entertaining if otherwise forgettable. Hardly makes it a bad movie though.

Agreed with OP! It´s not Clint's best, but Clint makes worth watching this!

Always liked this movie. I think anyone who bashes it probably just cant accept Eastwood in comedic roles. They only want to see him blowing peoples heads clean off with a .44 Magnum.

Quite quirky in a-way but I wouldn't say underrated.

Btw you spelled underrated wrong :)

I like this movie. I've seen it a bunch of times. It's kind of silly and campy at times, but I've always had an appreciation for Clint Eastwood's numerous films that have that quirky flavor. This movie was filmed on location in and around the Plumas National Forest in Northern California. There is some really awesome scenery in this movie!

I give it 5/10. Acting is OK, script is OK, the songs are OK. What lets it down is the plodding direction by Buddy Van Horn, and which was not remedied at the editing stage. A celebrated stuntman, this was the last of his three attempts at directing. All are Clint Eastwood vehicles. Clint had already been directing films for eighteen years (some of them very good indeed) so I cannot understand why he would put himself in the hands of a hack like Van Horn.

Eastwood's only movie not released in the UK, and he was a top star at the time. I guess we Brits have good taste!
