I wanted to like this...

But in the end I just couldn't. The plot is too clever for its own good and some of the dialogue is cringe inducing. While Burt is solid with the material he is given (which isn't much), Theresa Russell acts like a reject from the Lee Strasburg school. I liked a lot of Burt's stuff from this period (Heat, Stick, Malone, even Rent-a-Cop), but this one needs to be convicted and sent away for a long time.
