the funeral scene

Always pisses me off how the one guy is to Louis, "What's wrong with you? It's your son's funeral!" Uh no, not his fault, he didn't start it. He was incredibly gracious toward his father-in-law later at the airport, more than he had any right to expect. It should've been directed at him, "What's wrong with you? It's your grandson's funeral!"

reply

That father in law was a real arse.

I agree, but I just happen to have family members who have said something like that. My mother got on to my daughter for being emotional at the funeral of a family friend. I've also had my grandmother fuss at my cousins & I for being what she called overly emotional at a viewing. An aunt pinched my sister for blowing her nose during a funeral service. These family members are all from the north and we lovingly call them "northern snobs". They are just prim and proper all the time to where it makes them all look like Stepford Wives. Even as kid these same family members would almost have a heart attack because we burped or passed gas. lol I guess they never do it even though they are full of hot air.

I always assumed that dude was a friend or a relative of the father in law. Because you're right, it was completely the father in law who was in the wrong.

reply

Yes, that was so annoying!
