The kids....

Sweet Jesus, I've never seen two kids on one screen who were more nail SCREECHING than these two. Ellie especially. My eyes and ears bled profusely every time she came into screen. I kept hoping she would wander in front of the truck. And Miko Hughes? The kid was pummeled by a truck going full speed. But hey, let's just draw a few lines on his face with a sharpie and tell him to make some faces and we'll call it "scary."

What is it about this atrocity that everyone thinks is such a masterpiece??? Not one cast member was a decent actor. The best of them was Pascow and he wasn't that great. I for one am looking forward to the remake, if for nothing else than to hope for better actors/effects/production values.

The daughter was played by twins by the way. Elle's character is supposed to be annoying. You will get that if you read the book. Many kids are annoying anyway. lol I adored Miko Hughes because he was so adorable. Even when he was dead. I could care less how he looked when he comes back from the dead.

I agree about Ellie. Not so much Gage.

I hate this movie and much prefer the new adaptation.

The original is pure camp disguised as serious horror. The acting and dialogue is atrocious.

reply

They should've thrown the daughter in front of a truck and left her on the road.

The little girl who played Ellie gave one of the worst child performances I ever seen. So whiny and obnoxious.

reply

Ellie was bad. Gage was fine. Everyone else was really good. So there.

I thought they both acted like kids act.
Go watch the shining miniseries if you are looking to get annoyed by a child actor.

The baby coming back was creepy u know. To me it's better than the girl in the remake.

reply

yaa not sure what everyone talking about.

the boy was too young to "act". they did their best with him esp when he was a zombie.

and the girl was a great actress. that crying scene when she tells her mom about the dream in Chicago. that was actually good acting
