I haven't seen this movie in a long time and I recently watched it on Starz. What happens to Rachel Creed's character after the end of this film? I know they made a sequel and I think I read that the sequel mentions the Creed house. So if Rachel kills Louis at the end of the first film, shouldn't Rachel still be wandering around nearby? Do they mention in the book what ever happens to her character?

Okay, so the movie ending isn't much different than the book, it sounds. You'd think they would mention something more of her character in the sequel. Seems like a loose end for the book and the movie.

The ending is not at all unusual for Stephen King. He tends to leave things like that to the imagination. But the ending for Cujo was changed drastically. In the book the kid died and the mother was showing symptoms of rabies so we know she died too.

In the crappy (but still fun) over the top gory sequel with Edward Furlong, Anthony Edwards and Clancy Brown Ellen Creed is mentioned as a ghost story told around a camp-fire. The story goes that she went insane, after losing her entire family, killed her grandparents and then she was locked up in an insane asylum.

She is mentioned briefly in the sequel. One character (I can't remember who) talks about what happened to the Creed family; he mentions that the cat was undead, then adds, "And so was [Louis's] wife, the night she died the second time." He doesn't mention how she was killed; presumably, one of the neighbors or the police shot her.

I think if they sequel hadnt been created that her date would be rotting in the woods. Animals would be found mutilated, kids it hunters going missing and sightings of her would be reported. Until a group of men went storming into her domain and ended get undead life.

I find the tale of what happened to ellie according to the sequel much more interesting however according to a tweet from Stephen king it's not very interesting. Something about her getting adopted by a good family(grandparents must not have lasted long) but that she still has dreams and thinks about things connected to the Pet Semetary. King should have wrote a book about adult Ellie like he did with Danny from The Shining in Doctor Sleep.
