Anybody else have problems with the Warner Archives DVD?

I bought a brand new copy of this movie a couple of weeks ago, and when I tried to watch it, it wouldn't play right. It was playing through, but it was pixelated the way a horribly scratched DVD or a bad HDTV signal would be. Has anybody else had this problem?

My copy looks and sounds great. You should try getting an exchange. Might be too late, I suppose, but it definitely sounds defective, unless your player has issues with DVD-Rs, since that's essentially what the WB Archive series discs are.

My copy completely froze up in my Blu-Ray player after Penn got stabbed. I could not advance the movie any further.

I put in my DVD player (with HDMI, so it upconverts on my HDTV) and the rest of the movie played fine.

It seems these MOD DVDs have coding issues that are unique to what kind of player you have.

I've run into this before...not all DVDs play in my Blu-Ray player, but I can always play them in my DVD player. Very rarely will I come across a title that is just not playable in any player at all. Maybe 3 in all the years I've been collecting.
