I have been wondering about a movie that I saw when I was about five or six involving a little boy who has nightmares...in one of which the floor turns into blood. I just read the info on it and it sounds about right, however I remember the boy watching scooby doo and that doesnt fit with the 1950's setting. Can someone please tell me if this is the movie Im thinking of?

No Scooby Doo but everything else is similar.

You probably already know this, but I just went to your post on THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE and it is DEFINITELY "Parents". A little off on the scooby-doo thing, but the boy does get attacked by some sausage in the pantry. I can't imagine the movie could be anything else!

In The Shining, a young boy, named Danny, has visions of elevators opening and the blood flooding the floors of the hotel he is staying in and also watches a cartoon (but I believe it is a Warner Brothers cartoon).
