DVD re-release?

Does anyone have any information on if and when Parents might get another DVD release; any info on what's preventing it from happening (i.e. legal/ownership issues, or a perceived lack of consumer interest on the part of the license holder)?

I wouldn't be so sure of that, a lot of times when movies are flops, studios look for home video to make some of the money back. Companies like Anchor Bay have released films that made a lot less money than "Parents", and even given them deluxe treatment. It may take a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do eventually discover "Parents" and try to cash in on its cult-film status.

It is being rereleased. The DVD is a "double feature" from Lions Gate with the Ally Sheedy movie, "Fear" on the flip side. It's coming out on 1/24/06.

It only made 1 million dollars? I think that if they re-realeased it now it'd make a lot more. I love this movie!!

I got the DVD and even though the packaging says "full screen" it is indeed presented in anamorphic widescreen 1.85!!
FEAR is a pretty good movie too, so this was a welcome double feature!

If you're in the USA try the nearest Wallmart and look for a bin of DVDs with a sign that says 2 DVDs for $11.
That's where I just found a copy. I also found David Cronenberg's "The Brood" in the bin.

"There's a lorry on fire, a man going up and down the lift, and we can't stop the dancing chicken!''

I bought a double feature one with the Ally Sheedy movie for 5 bucks.

This film can be watched for free right here in imdb. Look at the top of the film page.
I haven´t seen it but I looked at the details because I like actress Sandy Dennis´ performances such as in The Out of Towners, Who´s afraid of Virginia Wolf, Sweet November, The Fox.
