The first one was terrific. The second not as good, but entertaining. But whatever happened to Bill (Tom Skerritt), Nicky (Sharon's daughter), Mary (Bill's daughter), and Brian (Susan's husband)? I saw this movie once in the late 80's when I was like 9. Where did those triplets come from as well as those other characters who had nothing to do with the previous movies?
shareSame thing- I haven't seen this in YEARS either (saw it when it first aired), but remember wondering why there were no characters from the others in this one. They should've just went ahead and put all 3 on one dvd set, I wouldn't buy this by itself.

Parent Trap 1 - Sharon and Susan meet at camp and get mommy and daddy back
together. Very good film for Disney back it's time.
Parent Trap 2 - Made for TV Disney movie, Susan and her daughter move to a new
town. Her daughter goes to a new school and makes a new
friend. Her friends father is a very goodlooking man and
Susan's daughter is trying to set Susan up with him. However
Susan isn't into dating men right now as it's too soon after
her split with her ex husband. So her daughter get's her Aunt
Sharon to prentend to be Sharon to get him interested. Long
story everyone lives happy, Susan with her daughter's best
friend's father, and Sharon happy with her husband.
Parent Trap 3 - Intoduce the tripletes...Jeffrey Wyatt and his daughters are
one very close family since there mother passed away. Jeffrey
starts dating this woman and soon to be wife. Her character is
an interior designer who's likes having control over things.
Sharon is hired for the job of contracting and decorating with
soon to be wife. Jeffrey and Sharon have a strong chemistry but
there is nothing he can do about it as he's engaged.
The triplets really like Susan and plan a scheme to ruin the
wedding and bring their father and Sharon together.
Parent Trap 4 - Hawaiian Honeymoon! Sharon and Jeffrey get word the have
inherited a hotel in Hawaii. They decide to go and check the
place out before they go to Australia for a real honeymoon.
The triplets come along and of course are giddy school girls.
A long time guest who's made of money will not leave. She's
demanding and very annoying, yet on a side note a hilarious
character. We have a love triangle thing with the triplets and
play the old switcheroo game. The girls get word that there
other plans intended for the hotel lot and rush to prevent it
from happening.
I hope this is correct as it's been a very long time since I've seen Parent Trap 2-4. This is all by memory, i hope this helps people :-D
And I hope I haven't gotten the twins mixed up with their new partners.
You had it backwards for Parent Trap II, It was Sharon's daughter Nikki, not Susan. Sharon was the one who was divorced and Susan came to town and pretended to be Sharon, kinda confusing...anyways I'm still wondering why they made a part 3. Like the previous poster stated..the movie just pretty much forgets all the past plots and characters. What's the point in that?

oh my gawwwwwd. i agree with u dude.its completely pointless and VERY irritating that the films have NO CONNECTION whatsoever. what is the frickin point? it jus confuses ppl.and none of da sequels can compare to the original anyway. the producers of them shud jus of stopped trying!!

shareYes part 3 was very confusing with the fact that one sister Susan was married in part 2 and now divorced. Sharron is still married to the guy she married at the end of part 2 since her last name changed from Ferris to Grand. If Susan is divorced in part 3 what happened to the kids she had in part 2. The original was the past and when the remake was done it gave good reference into the original movie.
sharePart III retconned. so that Susan's kids were turned into her step-kids. So dumb! But I guess the writers wanted her to be single and not a mom so she can focus on Jeffrey and the triplets.
