I don't know how or why anyone would try to see this movie as a serious sci fi flick. The nly way I could stomach it was to watch the MST3K version which was pretty dang funny. I highly suggest it to anyone else who thinks that it really underminds your authority when you put "Bud" in the middle of your name.

shareI've never seen MST3K, but I can happily watch this movie repeatedly. That is, I can run it on TV in the background while I surf the net. Except for the Queen, the women are attractive, the Hunter is cool, and the heavy handed political maneuvering is camp. I could do without the homoeroticism, but isn't most violence implicitly in that vein?

Horrible film by itself, but one of my favorite MST3K eps. Tubular Boobular is also arguably the best song they ever did on the show. It can be found on MST3K set #10 in the music video jukebox.
