I have been looking for this film on DVD for a long time. I finally found it on amazon.fr. It has french subtitles which I thought would not be a problem as the film is in English. However the final conversation is in French with no subtitles! And this is the key scene. Aaargh! Why didn't they put English subtitles as an option on the DVD? This was how I originally saw it in the cinema. Could anyone post an English translation of this scene? My French is not up to it...

shareIt is available at Amazon, check link below. English subtitles, English audio. Which, I assume, means that the French conversation has English subtitles, the rest probably not. Or maybe it does throughout the film, just to make sure the heavy French accent of Jean-Hugues Anglade doesn't conflict with the audience understanding the dialogue?
I recently obtained this DVD through a Dutch retailer (I'm Dutch, obviously),m but it turned out that the DVD, which ahs Dutch subtitles, was dubbed to French, which is truly horrendous. Now you hear the Indian characters speak some strange lingo, French with a dubious accent. Awful.

Yes, the Australian region 4 release has english subtitles for the final scene, and the original english audio track. Thanks for your help.
