Let's list all scenes Loren was doubled in

- The gym fight scene, it seems he is doubled when doing the jump off the rope which turns into a forward flip.

-The scene in the hotel room where he is ambushed whilst wearing a yellow shirt, it seems he is doubled when doing the backflip on the bed.

-The scene when Terry, Mac and he are ambushed by the monks. He is doubled when doing some of the forward flips and backflips whilst hanging onto the rope. I think Mac is doubled when performing the splits.

-He is also doubled in the final fight scene landing onto the ground after spin kicking Mathias on the beam pole, and also several more times in matthiases office.


I was really amazed at how effective the doubling was because the fight scenes are so superbly edited and choreographed, it would literally be impossible to pick out where Loren is doubled unless you knew how action scenes are co-ordinated and the tricks involved when filming stunt man performing particular moves and how seemless this is intended to be (particularly with using angles where the stunt man will intentionally cover their face with their arm, clothing or lengthy hair).

I was always amazed when breaking down this film for stunts because I never noticed them when watching this film as a kid. Loren is still an amazing athlete, with the tall kicks and agile/flexible movements (jumping of the walls, using the environment to bounce off from), but the co-ordinated stunt team make him look twice as good as he would be without them. Which is an art and spectacle in itself.
