The kid...

I truly hope that all of you noticed the one thing that makes this movie worth every penny and minute you spend on it. It's been about 8 years since I first saw this movie, and even thou I remember practically nothing of it there is one tiny detail that causes my friends and I to bring it up on a regular basis even today.

I don't know the exact time it happens but it's pretty early on. They're riding in a van along a small road out in the middle of nowhere from the looks of it. Dean (Brian Thompson) is driving and the other 4-5 guys thinks he's being a bit of a jerk, which he is. Anyway, eventually they stop at some sort of small stand (to ask for directions if I remeber correctly), and they talk to this chubby older woman. Now, the funny thing is that she's not alone but has a little sidekick there with her in the stand. And that sidekick is what's turned this piece of very mediocre horror movie into an unforgettable gem for me and my friends.
It's just about the ugliest kid I have ever layed eyes on! I've been wanting to put a clip up on YouTube, but I have the movie on VHS and can't rip it, and I've never found it to download. It's really a shame... But if you have the movie you should deffinately check it out.

A friend of mine claims to have seen this kid playing some sort of gnome or elf in an episode of Fresh Prince in Bell Air, but we've never been able to confirm this.

The name of the actor playing the fruit stand kid is John Hayden. He is pretty unforgettable, but I sure as heck can't place where else I've seen him either.

I think the only other film he appeared in was 'Reel Horror' (1985).

i'm sure he was in the final star trek the next generation episode as well. love this film.

he must have some kind of disease/syndrome. that is one seriously misshapen head.

That kid looked damn strange. Definitely makes watching the movie worthwhile, because you sure don't see something like that every day.

He looks to have noonan syndrome.

I said hey, what's going on?!
