Heres my opinion on this

I decided to watch this last night an have seen it before this is my opinion of the film its an easy enough film to rate its not as bad as some make it out to be the problems are easy to spot it feels rushed together an freddys defeat is weak also the worst problem by far is the low body count an all though the story isnt so much bad its actually interesting idea it isnt used to full potential an because of the lack of kills we spend more time with the characters talking about the baby an mother hood which makes the film feel less like a horror film an more like a drama that may appeal to some an i appreciate they brought this stuff up but after so long without a kill an i hear the drama im like shut up this is a horror film not a life time movie.Ok here goes good stuff about the film the dark atmosphere the alice character is still good here an likable the kills we do get arent bad an are more impactfull in the unrated version also the labyrinth ending was fun the comic book death all though silly looks cool an the dark gothic tone is cool all in all this is a ok movie its easily the weakest after the first four which are all enjoyable in different ways this one is an ok gothic horror film its a time waster its much better then freddys dead or the remake an i can watch it fine it dosent bother me to sit threw it its one of those if you watch the first four an want to see what happens next throw it in it wont hurt but it dosent blow you away

I'm in the minority preferring Freddy's Dead to this and Part 4. I hate that they killed off all the dream warriors from Part 3 and the concept of Freddy entering the dreams of an unborn baby is too weird to me. Freddy's Dead is inferior to the first 3 and has stupid parts but I like it more than Parts 4 and 5. I like the prequel bits with Freddy and the premise of everyone in Springwood going nuts after losing their kids to Freddy. I also like the kills in Freddy's Dead even the goofy Nintendo death.

I go back and forth on whether I like Freddy's Dead better than Dream Master but I agree that Dream Child is the worst of the bunch. The premise is too weird for sure better would have been for Freddy to put Alice in a coma to hijack her power that way. I think the sequel to Dream Master should have started with some rematch between Freddy and Alice to solidify Alice's coolness and superiority (like she beats him without using the rhyme) and then Freddy gets Dan or someone else to sleepwalk and harm Alice in the real world just enough to put her in a coma.
