i have not seen this movie in years and i really liked it but i forgot why close to the begining why the mobsters killed trumans brother in the back of the truck if anybody knows please respond asap thanks in advance.
shareIf I remember correctly, and it has been years since I have seen this movie, the mob was shaking him down. It was for either money, or to sell their cigerats(sp). The brother stood up to them and they killed him to show everyone else what happens when you stand up to the mob.

Wrong! Adam Baldwin put his gloves early on, that was a sign Bill Paxton will never be left alive inside that truck... He was a witness in the first place & Baldwin also wanna show off to Ben Stiller that he was the legitimate Isabella's second-in-command, a cold-blooded killer the reverse of Stiller's weaker daddy boy.
They wanted to interfere with the transportation by ramming a 4,000-pound, empty truck with 4-door late-model car? Not very smart. Should have waited until the drivers were carrying a full load of cigs and taken them at the destination.
sharea dual wheel box van is around 6k and the car they hit it with was ltd which weighs over 4k.
