did anybody else find this as funny as i did?

the part at the end truman kicking joes butt. The guy could not get a hit off to save his life and the switchblade did not do him much good either and finally he gets shot by one of his own poor bastered.

reply

I dunno if "funny" is the word, but it seems like poetic justice for sure.

reply

Cuz he CAN'T HANDLE THE SWAYZE POWWWWAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

reply

Nah I basically found the whole movie funny those rednecks and they're shenanigans I'll tell you

reply

I'll second that. The whole shebang was just hillbilly-arious.

reply

I'm from the country not the city and it's their not they're has you have it spelled.

reply

Whoops: In correcting someone else's mistake, you made one of your own. It's *as* not *has*.

BTW, I found the entire movie so funny that I couldn't stop laughing! On a serious note, most of the film -- especially the *country* dialog -- was an insult to people from rural areas. Although I am a big city native, my late father was from West Virginia. Trust me, country hicks have heard classical violin before, value owning land for more than it's *piss* value and don't keep deer heads in their fridge. And yes, if dear old dad were still alive, he'd get the joke and be laughing right along with me.

reply

Be nice "fortsmithman". I am so tired of someone always trying to point out the mistakes of others on these boards. That is not the point of this particular board. To correct your fellow board members and take away their fun in posting. It does not matter if it is (they're or their). We get the point. And since you are so set on being correct, you may want to read over your comment. It doesn't make a lot of sense the way it is written.

reply

No I didn't. I was expecting dumb-fun like Road House or Point Break, but this was just dumb without fun. That's why I never went to Swayze movies when they first came out, I thought they were all like this. Well, some are, some aren't, I've learned.

reply

I wasn't exactly laughing my posterior off, but I hardly took this seriously--like with Point Break, Road House, and almost everything else Swayze appeared in! He was NOT this great artist that some people try to make him seem like now that he's gone. He was a so-so actor with athletic ability and some magnetism. I say that's great, but that's all.

reply

it's intense.

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

reply

The only thing funny was the ugly puss on that Stiller guy...no talent at all and miscast.Whew!

reply

Speaking of miscast....how is there not one post about casting Liam Neeson as a hillbilly? The way he bites off his words to sound American in the Taken movies is one thing...this, this is a whole lot of much worse.

reply

The thing I found funny about that final fight was that Adam Baldwin was obviously crouching down so he could stay eye to with Swayze. Not a very efficient way to fight.
