They could have found a way to use the Holiday Road song

I know that many people have said that since they didn't do a road trip, this song isn't really needed for this particular vacation film. However, with all the brainpower and script people in on this, they really could've found a spot to put it in that would've made sense.

The opening song during the cartoon was lame. I know that even fans on this very board could figure out how to use the song!

That would make 3 Christmas' I've saved, vs. 8 that I've ruined; two were kind of a draw..

Good point cafe80s. I think since it was used in 4 out of the 5 films, it's become as much of a part of the franchise like Marty moose references, Clark and Ellen, the Clark calling "RUSS? Oh there you are ....." And other tributes.

I'm just thinking if they really tried , they could have found a way to make it happen.

Heck, even over the end credits would have worked.

I also enjoy the Christmas Vacation theme song. I guess they could have used the Holiday Road song on the "road trip" to the tree farm, but it really wouldn't fit.

Some way, any way, it could have happened. Why have this be the only entry that *doesnt* have it?

"what's this? A doorknob? Good show!" -- the easily impressed Dr. Bartley

It should've been used at the beginning when they were driving to get the tree.

I like the Christmas Vacation theme song.

Holiday Road reminds me of a summer time. For me personally it wouldn't fit into this movie in the same way. Plus they're not really on vacation. They're not going to Wally World or Europe or Vegas. They're home. Clark is even working. So the song wouldn't work in the same sense.
