What are your best and worst Christmas bonuses?

I've never seen such a thing...

I got a $50 gift card to Target last year.

I once got a tiny picture frame with the company logo on it. This was before photoshop and editing, so no pictures were small enough for this frame.

Best was a thirty pound turkey, and the worse were the jobs that didn't give anything.

In 2004, I received a coffee mug with the company logo on it stuffed with assorted candy.

Even though this was before the economy started to suffer, that's probably the best (at least to them) Christmas bonus that I had ever received. No other company that I had worked for ever gave us bonuses.

I once worked for a tire station(owned by my dad's step-father and his family) and for Thanksgiving they gave everyone a pretty good sized turkey(at least 25lbs) and for Christmas we got a good sized ham and $100 cash. Considering I got paid $5 an hour(decent money at the time), this was one heck of a bonus.

I have a generous employer now, but in my late teens I worked at the fuel desk of a truck stop. The business owners also owned a small gas station in town. One of our "perks" was free car washes at the other station any time we wanted (during business hours).

One year, they gave everyone a 10 pack of holiday-themed candy bars past their expiration date. These were supposed to be sold, but because they were expired they could not sell them. They received credit for them without having to return the candy bars. That was our gift.

Oh, they also threw in a sheet of 12 coupons good for a free car wash - something that was already free for all employees. Thanks to their mock generosity, I decided to "share the wealth" by making dozens of copies of the coupon sheet and handing them out to people I knew.

I wouldn't do something like that now, but I would probably tell the employer not to give expired candy and coupons for something we already got for free and call it a gift.
