Uncle Eddie stole the show, I think

When he first showed up, by surprise, at the exterior illumination ceremony, I cringed, thinking, "Oh, no, not more poor-Eddie, cringe-worthy stories."

I thought the movie was ready to go off track. But Eddie saved the movie – just like he saved Clark's Christmas bonus!

When he kicked the boss in the ass as he walked toward the front door, Eddie showed what a valuable team player he was. MVP, I'd say.

I have always thought the same thing. People like to pick on Eddie, but he is the most honest, unpretentious person in the whole story. He has a heart (pardon the pun) the size of Texas and always does his best to help Clark, even though Clark treats him like crap. If you watch Eddie during the dinner scene, he is constantly goofing around with something even if he isn't speaking, it's hilarious. He most definitely saved Christmas that year. Randy Quaid is a spectacular actor.
