Tons of melancholy heart

I can't blame you for telling me that I'm blind to unique and charming character development and an introspective, thinking-person's story, but this film drags its melancholy heart around the room like a teen's lost love. Kind of reminds me of a Wes Anderson movie. Like, "Life Aquatic" maybe? Beats me, but it sure tries like hell to run the line between whimsy and, well, melancholy-ness.
