Is this really a prequel to There Will Be Blood?

My friends and I watched There Will Be Blood, and we were discussing My Left Foot, and how it takes place after Daniel Plainview's accident in the beginning (when he falls into the oil well), covering his rehabilitation, upto the point where he is shown as healthy again in the movie (with his adopted son on a train). My question is this: is My Left Foot really a prequel if it takes place after a scene in There Will Be blood, or is there another word for this situation?

Well, this movie ("My Left Foot") was a biopic of an actual person, whereas "Blood" was pure fiction. Also, the DDL character in "Blood" wasn't Irish, as Christy Brown was.
