Which one do you prefer?
In my opinion both are fantastic movies.

Absolutely love them both! I would have to go with Awakenings though.

my left foot was miles better; the acting is just ..amazing!

I prefer Awakenings as a whole, but prefer Day-Lewis to De Niro. What I love most about Awakenings is Robin Williams.

LOL I literally just watched Awakenings yesterday and My Left Foot today. What a coinky-dink! Both were good but I think Awakenings was more entertaining. I had a hard time understanding the dialogue at times in My Left Foot.

Awakenings had a less impressive handicapped performance and, while Williams was excellent, he was playing a not-as-good version of his character in Good Will Hunting. It also had a Hollywood schmaltz vibe.

My Left Foot wins.
