The rape scene though (Spoilers)

It was all of a sudden. Watching this movie thinking that it was more about actions and stuff, then Marc getting raped by Scooter surprised me. What made it more depressing was when the kid committed suicide afterwards. The whole tone of the movie took a different turn from that moment on.

I completely agree; it was unexpected and cast a dark shadow on an otherwise PG-13 entertainment action film. I believe the only reason this movie is rated R is due to the inclusion of the rape and suicide scenes. They shot themselves in the foot in a way.
