Would you have believed his story in the diner?

Would you have dropped everything and gone to Antartica at the drop of a dime?

I probably wouldn't have and died lol

reply

Heck no, all sorts of strange people show up late night at 24 hour diners. Nobody believed him until the businesswoman started punching numbers on her motorola cellphone to validate his claims.

reply

Whether you believed it or not, there wouldn't be any point in trying to get to Antarctica, there's no surviving a nuclear war, no reason TO try and survive.

reply

there's no surviving a nuclear war,
I wouldn't want to...One of the lines in Wargames was "we'll be spared the horror of survival".

In the 80's maybe. Nukes were a real fear back then. The woman on the mobil phone helped confirm it quite a bit too.

yes

Even a man,who is pure of heart, and says his prayers by night...

I'm sorry to say that I probably wouldn't have. Especially NOW in the era of reality TV and youtube prank channels where any dude-bro with a couple hundred subscribers, could pull something like this for video views.

I would need precise and specific information to even BEGIN to think of leaving for a whole 'nother country with nothing but the clothes on my back and money in my purse. And I couldn't leave my mom behind...so I guess even if I did believe him, I'd also be rolling and dropping off the van to go find my family to bring with me. Either way you look at it, I'd have been caught up in the mushroom cloud. 

reply

Not at first, but given how the lady with the cellphone confirms it I probably would. Now, unlike Harry I'd go straight for the airport after picking up Julie (assuming the same situation were to apply). They pretty much lose a lot of time trying to get the chopper flying.
