I know this is not a DVD but . . . not sure where you are but I rented Metamorphosis from Audio/Video Plus in Houston, Texas. They have almost 7,000 VHS titles for rent (5 for $5 for a week) with an amazing selection of out of print and hard to find titles, especially cult and underground horror, fantasy and sci-fi but they also have art house and other types.
No, I don't work there and this is not a paid plug. As a lover of movies, good and bad, I rent 5 or more a week from them. I highly recommend it to anyone in Houston. This place is what a video store used to be and ought to still be!

Is that Houston store still open? I hope so. My local video store also had a five for $5 deal for non-new releases, and I saw a lot of obscure, entertaining films as a result. Unfortunately, they closed a few years ago, but I bought much of their stock. This films wasn't among it, but I found this for $1.50 elsewhere. Money well spent!

shareThose interested in a DVD should actually get the Italian release, which has excellent picture quality and contains the uncensored Italian version. Many scenes of violence feature alternate, less gory shots in international release prints. ALL English language prints are censored.
