VHS with flashing lights

Does anyone else have the VHS with the raised cover art and the button you push that lights up the scientist's eyes? I have a screener copy like this, and I'm wondering if it's a collectible. The lights don't work on mine, but I think if I replaced the battery they would.

Yeah I do, I got it at a flee market for a $1.00...its pretty cool, I wish I could say that much for the film itself tho lol.

does the new Synergy DVD have this flash function as well?

Great question! It looks like the DVD doesn't have the flashing lights, and it probably doesn't have the raised image either:

I have the big box of this movie. and the big head and flashing ray eyes is freaking enormous on the tape box.

I have it on vhs and it works, plays spooky music and the eyes flash.

So do you have to replace the batteries occasionally to keep the light flashing?
