Any other films with similar costumes?
Watched this last night and loved it! I want to know if there is a name for the costume style used and if there are other films that use it!
shareThere is, believe it or not, a great Hollywood version of "Alice in Wonderland" from Paramount in 1933, in which most of the characters wear similar outsize puppet heads - in an attempt to replicate the book's John Tenniel illustrations. Co-starring, in masks, are such stars of the period as Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, and W.C. Fields. You might find it on YouTube or NetFlix. I believe it was released on DVD a couple of years ago. It's worth a look . . It's about as surrealistic as Hollywood got back in those days. It's worth a look.
