Does anyone know the name of the area with the giant upended statues?

At one point Finn and Melanie take a stroll through a wooded area and are soon amongst some giant, derelict, stone statues fallen down at different angles. One looked like a Queen I remember and perhaps it was even a giant chess set. I remember hearing another reference to it somewhere in the last 20 years, but did not write down the information. Is it a well known place in London? I'd love to see it next time I'm there.
