Prequel?

How in the world can they do a sequel to this movie now? If they would have jumped on this back in 1991 to possibly 1994 then the possibility of a sequel is there but now it is going on almost close to 20 years since the movie was made.

The only way they could do that is if they have Patrick Dempsey play the father and his son is going through a similar scenario as his father did when he was younger.

We all know that Patrick Dempsey would not do this at all now since hitting the big time as Dr. Mcdreamy on Grays Anatmy.

I think he would be too big now to do a movie like Loverboy or even Can't Buy Me Love now.
