this wasn't stallone's come back into the oscars. seriously this film and his performance should have been nominated for best picture in 89. it should have even won over driving miss daisy. it was superb.

it seems like the only reason it wasnt was because of the mammoth success stallone has acheived and the academy felt he didnt deserve anymore so they just ignored it and him.

a shame.

No i totally agree. THis film was awesome. As was Stallones performance in it.

Stallone's performance is good but the script is clichéd and the First Base character is totally two dimensional.
