That character really creeped me out. They both did. As far as I see it he was kinda a cross between Noel Gallagher and Heath Ledger's The Joker, only a believable and realistic person that you imagine may be lurking around somewhere. Really so cock sure of himself, so calm and seemingly intelligent - yet completely out of his mind. Doubly disturbing with his friend Ray, a little partner-cum-disciple.

You got it dead right. It's a very disturbing piece - and you really catch that on 2nd viewing, after you realize the characters have had these kind of conversations before.

What we're seeing is the culmination of something that's been brewing, or even has happened before.
