Awesome set design

Yes I agree, I think they did a great job. I watch the movie often and I have been noticing the strong details in the set as well :)

It's because they got Ron Cobb to be the production designer. He's the same guy who did the set design for Alien and for Conan the Barbarian. The man was just an insanely good artist, with a brilliant eye for functional, practical looking, yet highly aesthetic design.
