when is this movie released on DVD?
I have it on VHS, but haven't got a VHS player anymore :-(
Anyone got an idea when this movie is going to be released as DVD?

Though, I have not seen the movie, I have loved Henry's book since youth. I now own a young Arabian. The cast is exceptional. Without knowing the film company responsible, we may be up a creek requesting a DVD. I do not deal with Amazon, not liking their politics. Will go searching for other ordering places.
I bought the vhs version, ended up giving to my sister. But I think it is old enough that it can be copied to dvd without all the scrambling.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's a travesty of the original Marguerite Henry classic. Agba is supposed to be 11 or 12 and slim with an expressive face. Just refer to the wonderful Wesley Dennis illustrations. This Agba has no acting talent whatsoever. And they don't show the horses! Not the way they do in two other movies made from "horse classics", The Black Stallion and Misty. Misty is filmed on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands and stars a magnificent horse actress who plays the role of The Phantom. Both movies are horse-centred and gorgeously filmed and well-acted and truly represent the magic of the two classic children's novels. This piece of junk clanks along, and I have to confess I bailed before the end. It was just too sad. I think this went direct to video.

ACTING ability? In the book, wasn't Agba a mute? At least that's the way I remembered it, the fact that he never spoke.
