Uncensored version; Wow

I grew up watching the North American VHS version of this movie. I always thought it was such a stylish movie, and even though it was dubbed (terribly) in English, it was so obviously a European production. I searched for many years to find a print of "Lily Was Here" in the original Dutch language, and finally found a copy on the internet...Dutch language, with English subtitles, and in it's widescreen format. As I imagined it is so much better hearing the original voices instead of that amateurish dubbed track. What i wasn't expecting was the cut scenes. i was surprised to see scenes of Lily naked, and very pregnant, and was shocked to see the birth shown in super-graphic detail! I think it had to be real footage. The scene wasn't necessary, but it really added a feeling of intimacy to the story, as if we were really there. I can certainly understand why these scenes were lifted from the US release. Americans are so puritanical about the naturalness of the human body. Anyway this movie is worth re-discovering for fans who remember "Lily Was Here."
