Is Miyagi-Do Karate really that good?

Seems like Daniel is always getting whooped but somehow he manages to win by a single punch at the end.

reply

which part is he being whupped here and which part does he win with a single punch?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeTP2ZbmcKg

reply

Fan fiction. He’s talking about the trilogy.

reply

Except it is accepted as canon by all but YOU!

reply

It's canon..

reply

NRC is correct, I'm referring to the films. But on a side note: it's crazy how young Macchio still looks today. Dude looks like he's in his 40s, might even pass for 30s. damn....

I've only watched a few eps of Cobra Kai. I might get into it sometime in the future but I really wasn't that impressed with S1 ep 1&2. I suppose it gets better?

reply

It’s an entertaining show but it doesn’t stay true to the trilogy.

reply

Was is ever going to be a true sequel to the trilogy though?

I mean, the actors are all over 60 now.

reply

It stays very true to the trilogy. It just doesn't go the way YOU wanted it to.

reply

If it’s so true to the trilogy why did Mr Miyagi die? Wasn’t he supposed to be invincible or something?

reply

If it’s so true to the trilogy why did Mr Miyagi die? Wasn’t he supposed to be invincible or something?

You are an absolute clown. Miyagi is/was a human being. Human beings die you idiot.

reply

You’re the one who said he was invincible like Yoda. Just calling out your unforced error and latest defeat.

reply

I reiterated what one of the Kai said in saying he was like the Yoda of the KK universe, but I never said he was immortal. Come to think of it Yoda died too.

Your defeat was signed, sealed and delivered the moment you posted this idiotic premise that Miyagi was unable to die of illness or old age. Nobody else ever proposed such nonsense.

reply

Wrong YOU proposed it when you compared Miyagi to Yoda. Yoda didn’t die he showed up and chilled all the time just had a bit of a glow to him is all. You said that Miyagi was just like Yoda. I asked the simple question about why did he die then and now you're feebly trying to backtrack and actually blame a Kai for giving you the idea to plagiarize. Consider yourself defeated… again.

reply

haha.. funny conversation going on here. :)

Miyagi is kind of magical. I mean, he can rub his hands together and heal people. He can break huge blocks of wood with his bare hands. Although, he never could catch a fly with chopsticks. haha...

reply

Couldn't he?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMjGfn3iXhs

reply

Wow, forgot about that scene. Was this in KKIII?

reply

Think it might be KK2

reply

Never ever said Miyagi or Yoda was immortal. That is a conclusion you have drawn and now use this false conclusion as an argument.. You were wrong then and you are wrong now. Also once again you have wandered off topic to try and gain a victory. Epic fail.

reply

WA you are deliberately being obtuse. Yoda is immortal FACT. You claimed that Miyagi was just like Yoda FACT. Therefore logically you believe that Miyagi was immortal. You are now drowning in you own ignorance. Consider yourself once again defeated by the Kai.

reply

You posted this at 3.00am. your mind must be muddled as usual.

Yoda died of old age. End of.
Logically I do not believe that Miyagi is immortal as he also died of old age/illness.
Once again you are clutching at straws. Furthermore you are trying to move the goal posts to suit your argument. The writer of the KK movies never ever claimed what you are claiming, ergo your argument regarding Yoda/Miyagi lacks any coherence seeing as it wasn't me who wrote the original movies or the Cobra Kai show. Your argument regarding Yoda/Miyagi is just you being obtuse. You have lost. Suck it up.

reply

Yoda did NOT die. Imagine if you were immortal like Yoda and got hit by a car and then came into work the next day. Your coworkers would say ‘WA…. didn’t you get hit by a car and die yesterday?’ You would say “No I didn’t die I’m immortal I just have this glow from now on.”

reply

Yoda never went to work the next day did he?

Furthermore, as I said the writers of the KK movies never said Miyagi was like Yoda. Neither did the writers of Cobra Kai, so your point is as irrelevant as you.

reply

Wrong again. Yoda showed up just days later at Endor to chill with his fellow immortals Anakin and Obi Wan. Besides it was YOU who said that Miyagi was like Yoda. This is clearly not the case unless Miyagi is immortal like Yoda is. So YOU are wrong and have been defeated. Accept your defeat.

reply

They were force ghosts. No one could see them but Luke. If they were immortal then where are they in the new trilogy?

Besides it was YOU who said that Miyagi was like Yoda.

I reiterated what a Kai said. The original comparison came from your side. Don't try and side step that one.

This is clearly not the case unless Miyagi is immortal like Yoda is.

See retort at beginning of post.

So YOU are wrong and have been defeated.

Actually that would make the Kai wrong for comparing the two.

Accept your defeat.

Accept yours.

Either way, what has that got to do with the writers of KK movies and Cobra Kai show? You seem to be going to great lengths to avoid that.

reply

Force Ghosts can make themselves visible to anyone. Also force ghosts are just as real as before notice how in Return of the Jedi Obi Wan sits his glowing ass on a rock to take a load off. This is immortality. If someone told you that when you “die” you could go on as if nothings changed expect that you would glow from now on you’d consider that immortality.

reply

Force Ghosts can make themselves visible to anyone.

You just made that up.

But enough of this nonsense. What has any of this got to do with the writers of the KK movies or the Cobra Kai show?

reply

Typical dodge . Admit that you were being obtuse when you said Miyagi was like Yoda.

reply

Already discussed where it came from. That's a done thing. It was you who veered off on this tangent to avoid the initial question of what has that got to do with the writers of the movies or show.
Further communication will be 'OH LOOK EVERYONE, HERE'S THE MONKEY'. It's all you deserve right now.

reply

It must be hard to keep getting beat by the Kai. You falsely claimed there was no such thing as a 7th Dan belt and I proved you wrong. You falsly claimed that Miyagi was just like immortal Yoda which was wrong. And to top it all off you referred to the Valley as the ‘San Fernandez Valley.” Its bad enough you killed benosheabutters but your constant inaccurate statements are even worse.

reply

You proved one thing and one thing only....you are an idiot. You can't wear a dojo!

OH LOOK EVERYONE, HERE'S THE MONKEY!

reply

Proof that Yoda was immortal. Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong WA? https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Immortality

reply

Two can play at that game.

Yoda died on Dagobah in 4 ABY. Many believe Yoda died of old age and that he could not withstand the darkness plaguing the galaxy. But he died as a lesson to Luke that death isn't the end, but the beginning. While he truly died, he retained much of his living self.17 Mar 2022

See we can all google.

reply

Daniel’s reckless business instincts and disdain for education implied he was on the road to poverty. Him growing up to become a successful auto dealer was highly improbable.

Conversely, Johnny was a blue blooded athlete with the world at his fingertips. He was destined for a leadership role in business or politics.

Silver was determined to make Cobra Kai a household name in the Valley and, with his billion dollar empire behind him, would have succeeded regardless of the result of the All Valley final. The show suggests he gave up on his dream that night while his years long friendship with Kreese (forged in the jungles of Vietnam) simply dissolved then and there.

He’s also a self made man in KKIII while Cobra Kai rewrites him as nepo baby.

It would be interesting to hear Kamen’s views on the show. Perhaps he feels similarly to how Mark Hamill does about Luke Skywalker in the new trilogy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYIAVvNH8rE

(“He’s not my Luke Skywalker.”)

reply

You forget, person who catch fly with chopsticks can achieve anything. So yeah, it follows the message of the movies.

reply

If you don’t have a well formed counter argument, you may as well just not respond.

reply

You have no argument to start with. You have always joined in the chorus of the on line Kai who said Johnny would go on to be a Lawyer or something. I said he would end up as a maintenance guy. I also said dutch would end up in prison.
You guys always said Daniel (if he lived past the car lot in part 3) would end up destitute. I always felt he would succeed simply because he was lucky or because of Miyagi guiding him.

My predictions were a lot more accurate than yours it would seem. There is no need for a counter argument as the facts have proven you wrong.

reply

The writers are obviously biased Daniel lovers who have rewritten both the past and present. Perhaps the board should produce its own unauthorized series to reflect the movies more accurately.

reply

Like you said the series may end with Daniel waking up in a dirty Opium den the events of the series to have been his hallucination.

reply

Maybe you will wake up in a dirty opium den and find your whole existence is a series of hallucinations.

reply

Unlike you who is a biased Silver lover eh?

reply

Silver purchased 20 locations, making Kreese the biggest dojo operator in the Valley. Given their unlimited Dynatox resources, Daniel’s “win” over Barnes would have been just a small bump in the road. The series asserts that Kreese and Silver ended their partnership that night and abandoned their plans for expansion. It’s just not plausible.

reply

It's entirely plausible. The crowd threw their T-shirts back. Cobra Kai was not well liked at that point. It's likely nobody turned up at those 20 locations seeing as Barnes lost.

reply

There’s 1.8 million people in the Valley. A few dozen hooligans in the crowd throwing their shirts back would not have deterred their business plan. A glitzy marketing campaign would have erased the memory of Barnes’ “loss”.

reply

Of course you would think that...you're an arsehole. Looks like history disagrees with you though.

reply

Arsehole? That’s cute. Did your mother teach you that?

Just pointing out the inconsistencies between KKIII and Cobra Kai. The writers should have consulted with the board for feedback.

Through grit and ingenuity, Silver pulled himself up by the bootstraps to turn Dynatox into a Fortune 500 company. There’s no reason Barnes losing to Daniel would have deterred him from his goals for the dojo.

The series should have opened with Cobra Kai being a Starbucks type franchise. Daniel, working as a maintenance man at the Reseda branch, forms a bond with an alienated boy eventually revealed to be Johnny’s son, who doesn’t see his dad very often due to his presidential campaign.

reply

You mean you.

Through grit and ingenuity, Silver pulled himself up by the bootstraps to turn Dynatox into a Fortune 500 company.

And illegal deals to dump toxic sludge.

There’s no reason Barnes losing to Daniel would have deterred him from his goals for the dojo.

It wasn't just that. That was just the spark for anti-Kai feelings. They were banned for life from the All Valley. Silver came to the realisation that everything he did was all down to a kid winning a college Karate tournament. Kreese disappeared after having his ass handed to him by Miyagi again and losing consecutive All Valley tournaments despite Silvers best efforts.

That sounds like something I made up and you guys on the board lapped up.

These are all plot details the Cobra Kai writers filled in. They don’t ring true to the characters as we know them.

Why would the All Valley ban Cobra Kai, a staple of the tournament, for life? Daniel should’ve been banned for making a mockery of the final.

Everything Silver did was to help his friend get his groove back. It pained him to see Kreese down and out and he acted selflessly to get him back on his feet. He did nothing wrong.

Cobra Kai finished runners up in two consecutive tournaments. It would have been a disappointment but they could still hold their heads high, especially given the questionable refereeing.

Barnes showcased his prowess through the early rounds, winning over the crowd before dominating the defending champ. Despite the final result, he put on a good show of skill. The children in the audience would have been more in awe of him than Daniel.

reply

No. We see the anti-Kai feelings at the end of KK3

Why would the All Valley ban Cobra Kai, a staple of the tournament, for life? Daniel should’ve been banned for making a mockery of the final.

Because of their antics at the 85 tournament. Keep up.

Everything Silver did was to help his friend get his groove back. It pained him to see Kreese down and out and he acted selflessly to get him back on his feet. He did nothing wrong.

He harassed and tortured a kid.

Cobra Kai finished runners up in two consecutive tournaments. It would have been a disappointment but they could still hold their heads high, especially given the questionable refereeing.

The only questionable refereeing was not disqualifying Barnes. Furthermore, we saw how Kreese handled second place the previous year.

Barnes showcased his prowess through the early rounds, winning over the crowd before dominating the defending champ. Despite the final result, he put on a good show of skill. The children in the audience would have been more in awe of him than Daniel.

His true character shone through in the final and he was judged on that.

reply

You can perform whatever mental gymnastics you want but deep down, you know your wrong and don’t want to admit defeat.

reply

And you can lie through your teeth, just don't expect people to believe it. I've addressed every single point that you have tried to present and I've done it based on the facts we see in the movies.

reply

They must broadcast a different version of the film in the UK. How can you be so consistently wrong on so many different levels?

What anti Kai feelings? They were protesting the result.

Daniel flouted the rules at every turn, chatting during Silver’s speech, running off the mat mid fight, and refusing to get to his line for the sudden death round. Johnson should have kicked his ass to the curb then and there.

reply

Oh bullshit it doesn't. It's stays completely true to the the movies..explain how it doesn't....

reply

Stated it in my previous post.

Daniel was on a downward personal spiral in KKIII, battling drug addiction and morbid obesity. He shows terrible business acumen by dropping out of community college and squandering his tuition on the infamous Crap Shack. His future was bleak.

If the show had stayed true to the movies, he would be working as a maintenance man in a desolated Reseda apartment complex, catching flies in the store room while problems mounted.
Meanwhile, Johnny would have been a successful businessman or politician.

Needing a twist to hook audiences, the creators were subverting expectations by portraying Daniel as successful and Johnny as downwardly mobile. It works well enough (it’s an entertaining show), but it can’t be cited in discussion of the films. The continuity is too inconsistent.

reply

Hahahahahahahaha....Daniel was 18 in movie 3. He had a lot of get up and go attitude. I can totally see him getting into cars sales. I thought you had a real theory ..

reply

Rewatch his deranged sales pitch for Mr Miyagi’s Little Trees. Would you purchase a vehicle from this raving nutcase?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjQm9liasHo

reply

Yup.

reply

His karate was a joke and his teacher wasn’t worth shit! He's nothing!

reply

His teacher beat all of them and Daniel followed suit. Perhaps Cobra Kai should have embraced those shit teachings.

reply

Both Daniel’s titles were the result of lopsided, incompetent refereeing by Pat Johnson. Johnny and Mike were the People’s champions.

How do you feel about England chances at the World Cup?

Are you down at the pub singing It’s Coming Home with your mates, downing pints?

reply

Both Daniel’s titles were the result of lopsided, incompetent refereeing by Pat Johnson. Johnny and Mike were the People’s champions.

Wrong

How do you feel about England chances at the World Cup?

They've had bad form going in so one can only hope they are through their bad patch. Mind it's been a strange year seeing as Italy didn't even qualify.

Are you down at the pub singing It’s Coming Home with your mates, downing pints?

No.

reply

They did well today, but don’t get cocky. Tougher challenges lay ahead.

Would you accept an invitation to a karate tournament in Qatar?

reply

Absolutely.

Would you accept an invitation to a karate tournament in Qatar?

No.

reply

For the right price, you’d bend your morals like Beckham.

reply

You are confusing me with you

reply

What’s your prediction for England vs USA? Do you care to make a bet?

reply

Think it might be a draw.

reply

Mark this day in history. The first time Wears was right about something.

reply

No. just the first time you've accepted it.

reply

If England loses WA must be banished from the board forever.

reply

I agree to that. It’s settled.

Also, loser keeps James Corden.

reply

Miyagi-Do relies on cheap shots. Kicks to the face when they are not allowed, low blows, instigating fights when your opponents make efforts to show restraint, etc.

reply

He definitely had Pat Johnson in his pocket, allowing Daniel to run wild. Surprised the crowd didn’t boo him off the mat.

reply

He definitely had Pat Johnson in his pocket, allowing Daniel to run wild.

Pat Johnson was more likely in Silvers pocket, hence Barnes not being disqualified.

Surprised the crowd didn’t boo him off the mat.

You mean like they booed Silver and co before throwing T-shirts at them.

reply

The crowd was protesting the result, throwing their shirts on to the mat to show their solidarity with the Kai.

reply

No. You know that isn't true. Kreeses reaction to the thrown shirts suggests otherwise.

reply

Miyagi-Do relies on cheap shots.

Barnes wasn't part of Miyagi-do

Kicks to the face when they are not allowed,

You mean like when Johnny and Dutch both kicked Daniel in the face?

low blows,

Barnes again.

instigating fights when your opponents make efforts to show restraint, etc.

Barnes again.

You really ought to think before you post because you are just coming across as a hypocrite.

reply

"Barnes again.

You really ought to think before you post because you are just coming across as a hypocrite."

That was just karma coming back to pay Daniel for all his insolence. To top it off, he got the worst thing imaginable, a dishonorable and questionable victory. It is better to lose with honor and dignity than to win like Daniel did. Contrast Daniel with Rocky Balboa. Although Rocky lost to Apollo, he gained respect as he never cried to Mickey to stop the fight. Quite the contrary actually. The person in the Rocky universion most like Daniel is Tommy Gunn. Tommy could have had it all if he had simply shown more respect, rather than demanding it from the fans. In a sense, Rocky was a lot like Johnny or even Terry Silver, just going about his business trying to have a good time, when Tommy had to keep pushing it. Terry never tried to ruin Daniel's livelihood (the car dealership), but Daniel seems determined to ruin Terry's karate business, for no good reason other than petty revenge. Daniel agreed to a gentleman's bet of closing down his dojo if his team loses. Rather than honor his bet (taking a cue from Chozen's philosophy of honoring a bet with an enemy, which was shut down by Sato), Daniel keeps poking the bear.

reply

Oh Karma eh?
You just posted a list of things that others were equally guilty of and you blame it on Karma. Daniel didn't kick somebody in the face first. He didn't try and break someones leg and he didn't terrorise a kid he never knew just to get him to enter a tournament. And now you are contrasting him with Rocky. He's a dumb kid who shoots his mouth off and he more than paid for it, but he didn't deserve what Silver (and Barnes) put him through for simply winning a tournament that Kreese himself agreed to accept as a means of the Cobra boys and him settling their differences.

reply

Not too nad

reply

Daniel's strategy is to allow his opponents to wear themselves out by pummeling him. Once they are exhausted, or their hands and feet are sore, he takes advantage.

reply

Works then eh?

reply

That same way cheating on ones taxes puts extra money in their pocket.

reply

Or dumping toxic sludge without due care for the environment.

reply

Nobody in Borneo knew what chloride sludge was.

reply

Oh, so that's alright then?

reply

What they don’t know can’t hurt them.

reply

Typical cop out.

reply

Now everyone’s a detective.

reply

The honorable Mr. Silver would never simply dump toxic sludge into random areas of Borneo. He used "dump" as a general common-man expression for a highly sophisticated disposal process. The person he was talking to would not understand such jargon, so Silver had no reason to explain it as such.

You are forgetting that Mr. Silver is a philanthropist and a humanitarian. He even literally risked his life for a war that wasn't justified just so he could serve his country.

reply

The honorable Mr. Silver would never simply dump toxic sludge into random areas of Borneo.

The same honourable man who lied that Kreese had died?

He used "dump" as a general common-man expression for a highly sophisticated disposal process. The person he was talking to would not understand such jargon, so Silver had no reason to explain it as such.

And you are getting this from where exactly? Oh that's right, you made it up.

You are forgetting that Mr. Silver is a philanthropist and a humanitarian.

Like you are forgetting the man suspended business dealings to torture a kid for winning a college Karate tournament.

He even literally risked his life for a war that wasn't justified just so he could serve his country.

As did many who fought in that war.

reply

As did many who fought in that war.

Not to mention, Silver came from a rich and privileged family. He could have easily gotten out of serving in the army, but he showed tremendous courage to serve. To further show shades of gray, it should be revealed somehow that Silver saved Daniel's father's life in the war.

reply

Winning by a single punch at the end was only in the third movie. He and Johnny were fighting fairly evenly in the climax of the first movie despite Daniel having an injured leg. In the second, there was no tournament so Daniel had to just beat Chozen into submission.

reply

The Okinawan karate styles are more suited towards physical conditioning than competition. A person is taught techniques that could be used in competition but emphasis is not placed on competition as the Japanese and Korean styles are.

reply

We don’t see Daniel doing any preparation apart from kata, which was useless in a tournament. He didn’t take his title defense seriously and suffered the consequences.

reply

The third movie was a mess!!!

reply

It dangerous to do a kata during a kumite… if you actually tried it you would be essentially dropping your guard and could suffer serious injury. If a contestant died in a tournament because he got punched while trying do a kata his parents could sue his karate instructor.

reply

If Lucille could have afforded a lawyer, she could have sued Miyagi for a number of things. He preyed on the vulnerable.

Miyagi-Do, as Daniel practices it, relies on deception, cheapshots, and psychology.

Deception: Appear weak by groveling. Evidence: Daniel on his hands and knees before Chozen at the club. Daniel during his match with Barnes.

Cheapshots: Low blow on Chozen. Hosing down Johnny and Cheap shotting Johnny when Johnny tried to end their confrontation peacefully. Too many more to name.

Psychology: Threaten the lives of his opponents in an attempt of intimidation. Appear to be weak so they can let their guards down just long enough for him to get a quick point.

reply

Daft cunt

reply

I'll take this response as conceding defeat. None of my points are refutable.

reply

The response is you are a daft cunt who is happy to point out what you believe is a flaw in street fighting yet are happy to accept all the wrongs from Barnes and co. You want me to refute? OK.

Deception: Appear weak by groveling. Evidence: Daniel on his hands and knees before Chozen at the club. Daniel during his match with Barnes.

Street fight with Chozen so no such thing as rules here. What he does is throw Chozen off guard then strikes. As for Barnes, are you saying Barnes didn't pound him?

Cheapshots: Low blow on Chozen. Hosing down Johnny and Cheap shotting Johnny when Johnny tried to end their confrontation peacefully. Too many more to name.

Again, street fight so the low blow isn't against any rules here. As for hosing Johnny, what about Johnny putting that pie on Daniels chair? (It is canon since Cobra Kai). Oh and Johnny ending it peacefully, you mean he'd forced a confrontation, humiliated him then kicked him in the stomach (flooring him) then asking if he'd had enough? Yeah peacefully.

Psychology: Threaten the lives of his opponents in an attempt of intimidation. Appear to be weak so they can let their guards down just long enough for him to get a quick point.

Threatens the lives of opponents. Really? Fuck off!

I stand by my original retort. DAFT CUNT!

reply

"Threatens the lives of opponents. Really? Fuck off!"

So saying Mike Barnes and Snake are "dead!" in a seriously angry and threatening tone isn't threatening lives? He literally said they are "dead." There is no ambiguity there.

reply

An empty threat blurted out by a frightened and angry young man.
How many times has someone threatened kick somebodys head in or knock their block off? Did they literally mean that? No.
Stop being a dick head.

reply

Clubber Lang said he was going to beat Rocky like a dog, and he did just that.

reply

You mean in a boxing match where opponents are there to do exactly that to each other?

Weak.Very weak.

On that note, did Barnes really mean to leave Daniel and Jessica to die in Devils Cauldron if Daniel didn't agree to sign the form? Was Barnes really capable of murder? Also, if Barnes and Snake really believed Daniels threat to kill them would they have pulled him up, or just threw him the rope and scarpered?

reply

"You mean in a boxing match where opponents are there to do exactly that to each other?"

I suppose you have a point. Mike Tyson said he was going to do unspeakable things to Lennox Lewis and despite almost winning, Tyson didn't actually follow through with his comments.

"Also, if Barnes and Snake really believed Daniels threat to kill them would they have pulled him up, or just threw him the rope and scarpered?"

Absolutely they did. That is why Snake demanded the tree as an insurance policy.

reply

Absolutely they did. That is why Snake demanded the tree as an insurance policy.

I disagree. For me, Snake wanted the tree as insurance that Daniel didn't renege on signing the form once he was out of Devils Cauldron. In fact I find it hard to believe for one moment that LA's bad boy took such a (ahem) threat seriously.

reply

An empty threat blurted out by a frightened and angry young man.

That’s no excuse. Daniel was out of place. It was no way for an All Valley defending champion to behave.

reply

Don't you feel even slightest bit guilty for lying to your friends on here?
Have you no shame whatsoever?

After your behaviour following your no show in New York and the tales you have spun who are you to question Daniels behaviour ?

Seriously, shame on you.

reply

Your history on this board has been characterized by deception, identity fraud and cowardice. How dare you accuse anyone else of dishonesty, given your own abysmal track record?

I almost started to respect for you for having the nerve to show up only for you to launch a cover up and hide the truth. The Kai will continue to shine a light on your misdeeds.

That you would dismiss the seriousness of Daniel’s death threat is typical of your warped brain. Excuse Larusso and Miyagi’s felonious antics, then attack the Kai over perceived micro-aggressions. What a scoundrel you truly are.

reply

I find your exchange with wearsalan very interesting. How did your feud with him begin and why is he writing so many defamatory posts about you?

reply

You can ask him that but all you will get is pack of lies. Let ME know when you want the truth.

reply

He’s been a nuisance on this board since around 2008, unsuccessfully trying to kick start a pro Daniel movement.
After backing down multiple times, he finally agreed to meet for a brawl in NY a few months back. I subdued him but now he’s denying the fight ever took place. We’re trying to arrange a rematch with a witness but he won’t sign the application.

reply

You mean you no showed. Then tried to lie your way out of it relying on your friends to believe you over me.
You and I know the truth though don't we 'Mistah Coward'?

I am running out of patience wears now sign it and let’s get on with it.

You know what? I would have respected you if you had actually shown up. I would respect you a lot more if you just owned up to your deceit even in a PM.

That you would dismiss the seriousness of Daniel issuing death threats is typical of your warped value system. Excuse Larusso and Miyagi’s felonious antics, then attack the Kai over perceived micro-aggressions. What a transparent scoundrel you truly are.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

reply

This is getting ridiculous. You live in an alternate reality and it’s pointless debating you.

reply

Im not the one lying about NYC chump.
Just let the truth set you free.

reply

Nice dodge, but doesn't change or excuse YOUR shameful act does it?

What shameful act? I took an oath of honesty, compassion and fair play when I joined the Kai and I don’t break them for anyone.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

People who live in crapshack’s without proper plumbing shouldn’t talk shit. You’ve contaminated your own pond, almost single handedly driving the pro-Daniel movement into the ground. You’ve been exposed as a coward and a liar countless times yet still hold on to your delusions. Wake up and smell the coffee Mr Wears!

reply

Your uninformed insults and fantasies don't change the fact you are lying to your friends. SHAME ON YOU.

reply

When did I ever lie?

reply

Well, you're lying right now if you are claiming you never did.

But let's get down to brass tacks here. You weren't in NYC. You never met me. And you certainly didn't best me ( you're not capable). Then you came on these boards and said you did.
Now you're not just lying to me here because you and I both know the truth. No, you're lying to your supposed on line Kai friends.

Shame on you.

I went through the trouble of traveling to NY to engage you in combat, all for you just to deny the events ever took place. You’re gaslighting the board by denying reality.

I’ve already defeated you physically and intellectually. Think it’s time for you to hang up your boots. You lower the standard of discussion on here.

NO, YOU DIDN'T.

You’re gaslighting the board by denying reality.

YOU MEAN YOU ARE.

I’ve already defeated you physically and intellectually.

YOU'VE DONE NEITHER

Think it’s time for you to hang up your boots. You lower the standard of discussion on here.

YOU LOWER IT WITH YOUR LIES.

SHAME ON YOU!

We experienced a brief renaissance when you faked your death a few weeks back. Then you came back and killed the developing vibe.

reply

Except you didn't experience a brief renaissance. I stayed off the boards for a few weeks and in that time there was barely any activity other than wondering where I was.
Stop kidding yourself that you have any purpose on these boards without me. You have even gone to great lengths to lie about turning up in NYC to try and boost your status but you will never be anything more than the Jimmy of the Kai.

reply

It was bad form to fake your death WA. Haven’t you read the story of the boy who cried wolf? What happens when you’re trapped down devils cauldron for real? Who would save you?

reply

Funnily enough it was you who said it not me. Guess we'll chalk that down as another of your (many) lies.

reply

For years he’s been crying about Kreese doing it, then he pulls the same move himself.

reply

First we did a meditation session to rejuvenate our energy, then we held a service for you until, like Tom Sawyer, you crashed your own funeral.

reply

Except you had no evidence to support any thought that I had died. You did what you always do and make up your own facts then present them as real.

You really are an embarrassment to this board and a liability to the Kai.

reply

And yet I defeated you at the ESB. Where does that place you in the pecking order?

With all of England’s social and economic problems, it seemed likely you’d become the latest casualty of a crumbling civilization. Honestly speaking, I was 75% certain you’d kicked the bucket.

reply

And yet I defeated you at the ESB. Where does that place you in the pecking order?

Except you didn't did you because you didn't even show up. You lying to your friends about it doesn't change the fact that you and I both know you are a braggart.

With all of England’s social and economic problems, it seemed likely you’d become the latest casualty of a crumbling civilization. Honestly speaking, I was 75% certain you’d kicked the bucket.

75% certain? And that's enough for you to continue on and claim I faked my death. That tells me a lot more about you. I'm now 100% certain that you never turned up at Harrods all those years ago. It just doesn't seem logical that a person could tell so many lies yet be telling the truth about that one thing. And here was me giving you the benefit of doubt.
You are not to be trusted to be telling the truth...EVER!

reply

You stopped posting for three weeks straight, perhaps even a month. We were genuinely concerned about your whereabouts. We knew you’d been struggling through some personal problems and made the natural assumption you’d passed on.

Not sure what Harrods has to do with any of this or why you’d want to relive that episode.

reply

made the natural assumption you’d passed on.

But you now claim I faked my death when the truth is you assumed wrongly.

Not sure what Harrods has to do with any of this or why you’d want to relive that episode.

Just another episode in your long catalogue of lies.

reply

We had a memorial service for you here on the board and you allowed it to continue for at least a week without speaking up. You liked the posthumous positive attention.

reply

Again you are throwing your mistake on me. I didn't even look at the boards for 4 weeks. As for posthumous positive attention I couldn't care less. Once more you assume wrongly. You have made it abundantly clear that you are not interested in calling off any feud so why would I be interested in any faux positive attention from you?
You are a liar and an embarrassment to your group.

reply

So what’s the explanation for your four week absence? Why did you decide to come back?

reply

I was busy. I didn't leave just had a small break.

reply

What you did sounds very thoughtful and nice.

reply

Except it wasn't and he was taking the piss.

reply

You would think he would appreciate the gesture.

reply

The gesture of you claiming I'm dead then finding out I'm not so claiming I faked it?
Why would anyone appreciate that you fucking moron?

reply

Ungrateful.

reply

Hard to be grateful to a lying piece of shit like yourself.

As Cobra Kai season 5 proved, mortal enemies Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence were able to end their decades old feud. Reading your back-and-forth with NRC123, I wish you two could do the same. It is clear you are both martial arts masters. So what if the fight in NYC did not go your way? This happens to fighters all the time and yet they still can respect that their opponent who got the better of them and not dwell on it. Maybe you could see that NRC123 did do the honorable thing when you left it a little unclear about whether you had died awhile back. Reading this thread, I just think there’s some common ground where you could set aside some resentments and gain wisdom from NRC123 just as Daniel-san did in accepting his own role in causing the feud with Johnny

reply

There was no fight in NYC, he didn't show up.

It is clear you are both martial arts masters.

Nope. He's never done Martial Arts.

Maybe you could see that NRC123 did do the honorable thing when you left it a little unclear about whether you had died awhile back.

What's honourable about what he did? Nothing. He simply took the piss.

How can there be common ground when (A) he is not interested in a truce of any kind despite my offering one and (B) he does nothing but lie about stuff like NYC.

I just think there’s some common ground where you could set aside some resentments and gain wisdom from NRC123 just as Daniel-san did in accepting his own role in causing the feud with Johnny

This guy stuck his nose in an argument between myself and another poster many years ago offering to come to London in that persons stead and fight me outside Harrods. I turned him down as I had no argument with him. Nevertheless he claims to have flown to London and afterwards continued to berate me for not being there despite me saying I wouldn't be as my argument was not with him. Now you tell me what wisdom I could possibly gain from him?
Furthermore, it was not me who caused the feud between us. No, he did that all by himself. As I have said, I have made the offer of a truce many times. HE SIMPLY ISN'T INTERESTED!
What part of that is MY fault? What possible wisdom could I gain from this idiot?

reply

Unfortunately, Wears is a lost cause. We once offered him a junior position in the Kai if he publicly renounced Miyagi-do but he didn’t want to go through the initiation process. Time and again, we’ve tried to teach him the error of his ways but he is incapable of self reflection.

It’s honorable of you to play the peacemaker but some people just won’t listen to reason.

It’s unclear that Wears is a martial arts master and it’s been suspected his online credentials have been doctored.

Furthermore, it was not me who caused the feud between us.

You came to a pro Kai board and started spouting Miyagi-do nonsense. You deserved to be put down.

Well that is simply not true.

It’s honorable of you to play the peacemaker but some people just won’t listen to reason.

You for example.

It’s unclear that Wears is a martial arts master and it’s been suspected his online credentials have been doctored.

No, it's very clear what my credentials are. You on the other hand...

You came to a pro Kai board and started spouting Miyagi-do nonsense. You deserved to be put down.

Again not true. I had an argument with romefan123 and you stuck your nose in and wanted to fight me. IMDb was a discussion board where everyone had a right to their opinion. It was dickheads like you who decided what people were allowed to say and attacked anyone who had a different opinion. Moviechat was a new start but you brought old feuds here. You might sell yourself as the good guy but you are far from it with retorts like 'beat it slope or you're next' to anyone who disagrees with your point of view.

You are a clown and a bully. I'm just the one who brought you to task.

reply

You’re place on the board mirrors Daniel in California. You move from situation to situation, acting tactlessly and irritating others then play the victim when you’re reprimanded. You need to look within and improve your social graces instead of complaining about people treating you poorly.

Even the newcomer Bea South, a neutral observer, noticed you had room for self improvement.

Miyagi has been debunked as a fraud and thief while Daniel has been exposed as a petulant loser yet you continue to defend their actions. If you’re going to support that dodgy duo then you should be prepared to have your views challenged.
